White Lion Feature Film

While working at The Refinery in Johannesburg, I had the opportunity to contribute to the feature film White Lion as the Animation Lead. This visually stunning film follows the journey of a rare white lion cub in the African wilderness, blending breathtaking cinematography with seamlessly integrated visual effects.

My role focused on special effects, including the modeling, texturing, and integrating of a highly realistic crocodile into live action footage.. The challenge was to ensure the CGI creature blended seamlessly into the existing live-action footage, enhancing the film’s authenticity and immersive storytelling.

Through detailed texturing and precision compositing, the crocodile was brought to life in a way that felt organic to the film’s natural environment. This project showcased my ability to combine technical expertise with artistic realism, delivering high-quality visual effects for a cinematic production.
